Travel Planning Call service The Real Japan

A New Era For The Real Japan is Coming!

Guests at The Real Japan MeetUp 2018, Bib Bar, Osaka

I've long had a desire to create a genuine global community of like-minded Japan travellers.

A place where we can all come together.

A place where I can help more of you experience enriching travel so we can all discover our own, unique take on The Real Japan.

That was part of the reason I created The Real Japan in the first place.

Up until now, I simply haven't had the chance to put in the time, money and energy that is necessary to see that aspiration come true.

But following the reopening of the country to foreign tourism after the pandemic, last year saw The Real Japan grow significantly.

I'm now in a position to pursue that goal of a real global community.

I have a vision for the community and this week I begin building it.

I cannot wait to share more information on this with you, so keep a close eye on emails from me, as I share details on how you can be a part of it.

Itsukushima Iroha ryokan Hiroshima

An effective approach to trip planning has become indispensable for many travellers when researching their next trip.

To consistently experience exceptional travel in Japan, it helps to have a list of the best Japan travel websites and resources.

That’s what this post is about.

In this newly updated post you’ll discover some of my favourite trip planning resources, along with some others I suggest you consider.

This is definitely one to bookmark!

New Services: 45 & 60 Minute Travel Planning Calls

Travel Planning Call service The Real Japan

A couple of weeks ago I introduced a new 60 Minute Travel Planning Call service. It doubled the duration of the only previous call solution of 30 minutes.

But as soon as I added it to my Japan Travel Store, I immediately thought, what of someone doesn't want a full hour, but might find 30 minutes too limited?

The solution?

My NEW 45 Minute Travel Planning Calls! 😄

Each video call is dedicated to you and focused on your current needs.

There is no deadline on using your calls. They do not expire. Use them whenever you want.

Last year I turned off my full Travel Planning Service for a bunch of reasons, mostly because they were taking up too much of my time. I loved helping people (maybe you are one of them) create their dream trip to Japan. But I could only help a small number of people, when what I really wanted to do was help as many of you as I could.

One knock-on effect of stopping that service was the number of calls I've been doing since has increased significantly, meaning I am now helping more of you. Which also means I can help more of you more often. Which is very important to me.

I will be introducing new, premium Travel Planning Services that will go further than my Travel Planning Calls can, so look out for details on those in a future Bulletin.

Note: I am unable to accept call bookings for travel dates starting less than 30 days from your date of purchase.

Spring Travel Offers - Save Up To 60%

Klook cherry blossom sakura deals

Spring is definitely in the air, and to celebrate a number of companies are running seasonal sales.

Klook has bundled together a bunch of their popular cherry blossom activities and tours with up to 15% off regular pricing.

But pay close attention as some, such as Rocket Languages' 60% off online Japanese Courses run for just 4 days over Easter.

Other deals include up to 20% off travel insurance - Avanti and StaySure are both currently offering this.

And with G Adventures you can save up to 12% on some good-looking tours, including their northern Honshu Michinoku Coastal Trail.

A First Trip To Japan: 16-Day Itinerary & Report

first time Japan itinerary Hiroshima Andrew Rondeau

Looking for an good itinerary for a first-time visit to Japan?

The Real Japan subscriber Andrew Rondeau and his wife had been planning a trip to Japan for some time.

They wanted to experience the country's famous cities and attractions along Japan's 'Golden Route'.

But they were struggling with the amount of time it was taking, so used one of my Travel Planning Services to speed things up.

They decided on a 16-day itinerary designed to meet their needs and interests.

Use Andrew's trip report to help you build your own travel plan, hear what they loved, and learn what they'll do differently next time.

VIDEO: See Inside: Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima (Golden Route) Moon Guide Book

To coincide with the publication of Andrew Rondeau's guest blog post about his first trip to Japan, following the 'Golden Route', I shot a new video that complements it.

Watch this quick video to see inside Moon Travel Guides' Tokyo, Kyoto & Hiroshima (aka the 'Golden Route') guidebook, to help you decide if it's a good buy for you or not.

Watch the video above.

First time visitors to Japan understandably focus on Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima - also known as Japan's 'Golden Route'.

Although there are a good number of guide books covering the whole of Japan, there aren't (surprisingly) many dedicated to the Golden Route.

That's where Moon Travel Guides' Tokyo, Kyoto & Hiroshima comes in.

Author Jonathan DeHart is a widely-published American travel writer who first came to Japan at the age of 21 - he knows his stuff.

But is the book too restricted by the areas it covers, or might it actually be a must-buy?
