I hope you enjoy reading this post.

If you want help planning your Japan trip click here.

A little different from the videos I tend to post, but I know some people like to watch these POV (point of view) videos, partly as it makes it easier to imagine yourself being there.

This video (without music, narration or captions to interrupt the view) was shot from a taxi we caught from Kobe to Kansai International Airport (KIX).

The quickest way from Kobe to Kansai International Airport

The quickest way to get from Kobe to KIX by car is by taking the Hanshin Expressway - specifically No. 4 The Bayshore (Wangan) Route. This is an elevated highway that follows the natural curve of the bay area between Kobe and Kansai Airport - and not far from Osaka. It's a route we've taken many times in our years in Japan.

Largely industrial views

The views alongside the expressway are largely industrial - so if you're looking for some of Japan's beautiful natural landscapes like mountains, forests, valleys, rivers etc. - then you're gonna be disappointed!

However, if you want to know what it is like to drive the Hanshin Expressway No. 4 Bayshore Route then this film will give you a very good feel for that.

I hope you enjoy the ride.
